According to Gresty's letter Atkinson was the leader of a group who 'serve the Goat' somewhere near Nug's Farm in the West Country.

In Goatswood, the investigators met with Hillary Quarrie who told them how her husband had brought her to Nug's Farm at Atkinson's request whrere she had become his protege. He had taught her the worship of the fertility goddess Shub-Niggurath. she was groomed to be his air when the old man died.

Interesting, Atkinson appears to be a name shared by a number of those who contributed to the writing of 'The Revelations of Glaaki' across the years. Atkinson constantly tried to sleep with Hillary Quarrie, without success, Gresty refers to his 'itching loins'.

After attempting to corrupt Hillary's daughter Sarah, Atkinson was no longer welcome at the farm, and Gresty became his new chosen heir, but Atkinson feared Hillary's power and decided he must be rid of her

Never encountered by the investigators, Atkinson summoned one of Shub-Niggurath's monstrous young to attack Nug's Farm and is assumed to have died along with Wilfred Gresty when Hillary Quarrie, with the aid of Bartlett and Withers, turned the thing back on it's summoners.
